Ohio Learning Standards

At Crowned Crayons Academy, we are committed to fostering a love of learning in every child by following Ohio’s Learning Standards. These standards offer a clear framework of the essential knowledge and skills that students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12 need to thrive. By emphasizing these core skills, we ensure that our students are well-prepared for future academic success and life beyond the classroom.

Infants

Our activities emphasizing all developmental domains (language, cognitive, physical, social and emotional, approaches toward learning.)

Toddlers

Children are at many different developmental levels during the period of growth from 18-36 months of age.

Children also vary in culture.

Pre-K-12 year

Activities include, Language and Literacy, Writing, Science, Construction, Math, Technology, Sensory, Gross and Fine Motor, Physical Development.

Kindergarten Ready

By aligning our curriculum with Ohio’s Learning Standards, Crowned Crayons Academy is dedicated to preparing your child for academic success and a bright future in college, careers, and life. Our goal is to help every student develop the skills and confidence they need to start Kindergarten ready and eager to learn.

Mathematics & Cognitive Development: Encouraging curiosity, critical thinking, reasoning, problem-solving, numbers, patterns, shapes, and making connections.
Physical Development: Strengthening fine- and gross-motor skills, coordination, balance, and healthy movement through active play.
Science, Social Studies & the Arts: Inspiring children to investigate, explore, create, express themselves, and understand the world around them.
